It's tough for the Australian squad to achieve unprecedented feats.

The highest peaks have already been conquered.

This is the team that has won seven Cricket World Cups, plus an additional six T20 titles, and once went nearly four years unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, the ones sought by the record chasers, are all that remain for a team that has accomplished all there is.

It needed as late as Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase above 300, taking back their record for the highest in the female 50-over format, is, honestly, a compliment to the bowling attack that have worn canary yellow over the last half-century.

It is hard for their batters to maintain a record if not afforded the opportunity.

Finally, the result of Australia allowing 330 runs was skipper Alyssa Healy receiving a chance to create her most recent brilliance.

Initially recognized as the teenage relative of renowned former Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she debuted in 2010 after Australia didn't secure either of the 20 or 50-over World Cups from the prior year and has experienced everything through 15 trophy-laden years since.

A T20 championship victory happened three months after her first appearance and seven global championships have followed from 10 efforts across formats.

The tough gloveman was in attendance in Derby in 2017 when a last-four loss by India briefly halted the winning streak.

That loss "motivated us to reevaluate our levels," Healy commented earlier.

At the following one-day championship in New Zealand, Healy hit 170 against England in the final and was named player of the tournament. She ensured her country would not fail again.

The question of whether this recent magnificent innings topped that previous effort is debatable.

Some will argue the case for championship match pressure. Some might respond with the challenge that comes when facing a record target and a raucous India-supporting crowd of 20,000.

What's clear is this century was much more difficult to predict.

The Christchurch carnage in 2022 came as she was the highest scorer, but this knock came after six matches in India over the past few weeks in which she had not exceeded 30 runs.

"If you've observed me in practice sessions, it was a challenging time because I feel like my form was missing completely," stated Healy.

"However when you step out on the field, your competitive nature kick in and you simply focus on the contest."

Healy's competitive nature has consistently been her great strength - and an invaluable trait in succeeding iconic ex-skipper Meg Lanning.

She was troubled by India's rising star Kranti Gaud in recent ODI series, out to the young fast bowler in all three matches, but on this occasion it simply offered Healy's inspiration.

One run resulted off Gaud's first delivery and from there Healy was in motion.

"An opportunity to go out there and face the challenge with her and simply enjoy myself in that aspect, kind of motivated me," commented Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 deliveries - her swiftest at the World Cup - and her century in 84 deliveries while she punished short deliveries, hitting 21 fours and three maximums.

By the time she was out Australia needed 66 more at one run per ball - an unconquered height now needing a comfortable finish.

"Chasing 330 runs is new territory so I am glad we have the belief to accomplish that now," stated Healy further.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it again but, if we do, we know we can succeed."

That comment will be the final thing rival teams at this tournament need to hear.

In recent days a feeling they will triumph from any situation has only strengthened - this triumph succeeding success over Pakistan by 107-run victory despite sitting at 76-7 at a certain moment.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before an encounter with traditional opponents England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a semi-final berth may well be secure.

During that phase they left the previous year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - an encounter Healy missed because of ruptured tissue in her foot as she led her country for the initial instance at a significant event.
